Abrasive Blasting

Is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under high pressure to remove surface contaminants and to provide a key for the desired protective coatings.

There are several variants of the process, such as bead blasting and shot blasting. Surfaces are blasted to an industry Swedish standard of Sa 2.5 or any required standard.

Our blast room is 6 metres long by 3 metres wide and 3.3 metres high. We are capable of blasting longer items if required.

Thermal Spraying (Hot Metal)

Thermal spraying is mostly used to produce coatings on structural materials and also popular in the marine environment. Such coatings provide protection against high temperatures, corrosion, erosion, wear. Metal spraying is a good alternative to galvanising.

Powder Coating

Powder coating is our speciality we have a wide range of colours in stock in RAL and BS numbers, and also stock special effect powders including chrome effect powder coating and metallic powder coated finishes!

We can powder coat any metal items up to 7 metres long we also refurbish car, motorbike, bicycle and boat parts

  • Long life spec - We are approved applicators for Akzo Nobel, who have tested our applications which allows us to offer a 20 year life expectancy on mild steel in a C3 environment if requested.

Nylon Coating

Please follow the link above for more information on our nylon coating.

Wet Paint Spraying
We provide both air assisted spraying and airless.  Advantages of airless spray are:

     - The coating penetrates better into pits and crevices.
     - A uniform thick coating is produced, reducing the number of coats required.
     - A very "wet" coating is applied, ensuring good adhesion and flow-out.

Most coatings can be sprayed with very little thinner added, thereby reducing drying time and decreasing the release of solvent into the environment, this is most beneficial when working on 'site'.

Lighthouse Project you will find the top of a lighthouse which we blasted and wet spray primed in individual pieces. Our client took the parts away assembled the lighthouse, bought it back for masking, another protective coat of primer. Red and white top coat finishes.
