Abrasive Blasting
Is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under high pressure to make it smoother, remove surface contaminants or to roughen it.
There are several variants of the process, such as bead blasting, sandblasting, shot blasting.
Surfaces are blasted to an industry standard of 2.5mn or we can accomodate special gauges.
Thermal Spraying (Hot Metal)
Thermal spraying is mostly used to produce coatings on structural materials. Such coatings provide protection against high temperatures, corrosion, erosion, wear.
Powder Coating
Is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin." It forms a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint.
Powder coating is mainly used for coating of metals, aluminium pans & extrusions.
We also refinish automobile motorbike and bicycle parts.
Wet Paint Spraying
We provide both air assisted spraying and airless. Advantages of airless spray are:
- The coating penetrates better into pits and crevices.
- A uniform thick coating is produced, reducing the number of coats required.
- A very "wet" coating is applied, ensuring good adhesion and flow-out.
Most coatings can be sprayed with very little thinner added, thereby reducing drying time and decreasing the release of solvent into the environment, this is most beneficial when working at 'site'.
